The other night we were walking home through the Financial District (after literally gorging ourselves at Les Zygomates – disaster) when the Man spotted some flowers and got super confused. He was all “Don’t those flowers know it’s cold out?”. . . at which point all of the females in our party yelled out “MUMS!” like we had just spotted Brad Pitt in a bathing suit across the street.
I love mums. They could not be more lovely or more representative of the changing seasons. So in honor of mums (and fall flowers in general), Friday Blooms is coming at you hard core with a fall palette.
And yes, maybe I will throw a party just so that I have an excuse to make a mum pumpkin . . . what’s your point?
p.s. The Man and I totally got up at 6:15 this morning and schlepped through the rain to wait in line at the Verizon Store in Downtown Crossing so that I could get the new iphone. My old blackberry has been within an inch of its life for the past month and a half and so this was necessary, if not a little over-eager on my part. The Man wasn’t even getting a phone but offered to keep me company in line because he is that rad. Now that I have the thing, I’m entirely convinced that each time I touch it I’m going to break it. And, just to be clear, in no way, shape or form do I know how to operate an iphone. Learning curve starts . . . now.
Enjoy the weekend everyone! xx
